"New Apple iPhone 4 comes with a battery which is according to Apple 20% better than the old iPhone 3GS. But with the introduction of the new Apple iOS4 which enables the user to run programs simultaneously or the popular term multitasking which also sucks more power out of your iPhone4's battery also. Here are few simple adjustments you can do easily to save some battery power of your iPhone4."
1. Look for apps which you don't use but which runs in the background and kill them.
2. After finished using an apps if you're not going to use it for a while kill it too.
3. 3G - Switch off the 3G service if not needed (go to *settings -> general -> network)
4. Try disabling the equalizer - This is another power hungry utility (Settings > iPod > EQ and tap Off)
5. WiFi - If not needed switch it off too (go to *settings -> WiFi)
6. Bluetooth - If not needed switch it off (go to *settings -> general -> Bluetooth)
7. Push E-mail - Disable this service (go to *settings -> Calendars, Mail, Contacts-> Fetch new data and set push to OFF)
8. Adjust the display brightness (or set it to adjust automatically *go to-> Settings -> Brightness -> Auto-brightness -> ON)
9. Disable phone vibrating function
10. Display - Switch from color to White On Black (with accessibility functions in iOS4 - this will preserve some battery life in your iPhone 4)
11. And always make sure to charge it fully (100%) per session.
12. Try to avoid third party applications - Original Apple software are optimized for iPhone and other apps may not (not always the case though)
13. Switch to "Airplane mode" when having zero coverage - (go to , settings -> Air Plane Mode on) beware that once in the "Airplane Mode" you cannot receive or make any call from the phone!
*To experiment a bit further more to save iPhone4 battery life you can also try out lowering the volumes just a little bit, but it won't have a huge effect but still battery-savings is battery-saving.
